As the old saying goes, “Slow and steady wins the race.” When you are heading out towards your journey of fitness, this is one key part that you should keep steady in your mind. All too often people go into a new diet or fitness regime without fully digesting the fact result will not come to them overnight.
It’s anything but that. It’s a slow and steady process.
There are those who have done so quickly, but those are rare occasions in most cases. Out of those specific cases, not many keep the results they worked for.
A person shouldn’t lose more than 2 lbs a week for safe weight loss. Any more and doctor’s supervision is recommended.
There is no quick way to your goals outside of surgery and extreme crash diets. The surgery is costly, and crash diets are dangerous. With that being said, don’t get discouraged if your weight isn’t sliding off of your body like butter or if you even if you end up cheating on your diet.
That is not a reason to give up. Anything truly worth having will take so work, and that work isn’t just going last for a month or two. It might be a full year before you see any results, but once you do it’ll be all worth it.
Once you see the results you want don’t stop. People tend to fall into a trap which is once they reach their goal they think they have finished. Then they end up gaining it all back again. Don’t be that person. This journey you are embarking on is a lifelong one if you want to keep the results you strive for. If you remember that, I am sure that you will be successful.
